2012 end of humanity or end of an era what do you think?

now lets expand our mind just a bit. now I personally believe its not a Y2K thing, since wasnt that about computers or technology going past 1999 or something or some kind of nuclear attack, Im not sure I was about 10 or 11 and I literally thought it was a bug that would appear in the sky….(Y2K) bug……hey I was young and had a big imagination so dont mind me, I somewhat understand what that theory is now. Personally this 2012 thing wont end the world but could possibly end humanity and anything that is living. its interesting wether its true or not, we wouldnt know till it happens right? Well 2012 seems to base around the mayan prophecy but there's other cultures and religion thats based around it as well, like the i ching, egyptian prophecies and others as well including scientific facts. Many believe in this and many dont, but think about it……would the government or nasa or whoever make a public announcement saying that humanity would somehow come to an end in 2012? of course not that would cause a global panic….so they wouldnt tell us and we would be wondering and waiting till then for that day to arrive, but they sure would know if something **** up is bound to happen. For those who dont believe its because there isnt enough facts, well even if there is, a few would say and we wouldnt listen but we need to hear it from the big guys (politics) i mean our government hides a lot of things from us anyways. If you research about it, it does make sense, but it may be a new world for us and go on with our daily lives or we may not. I wouldnt say that I believe everything about it, but it makes sense, sounds pretty cool, and ill tell you that i will be drunk on that day……..i want interesting answeres believers and non believers, but I honestly wouldnt want jesus or anything that says only god will know because thats too original and not everyone on here has those same kind of beliefs, but i respect that but i want cool interesting answers so i can give you points lol

naa people need something interesting to spice up their otherwise completley boring lives so somebody (by somebody i mean lots of somebodies) starts noticing a coincidental ending of the calander on 2010 within alot of cultures and then come the atention grabbers saying its the end of the world and all that…… not to be offensive but i think its just pure BS

Well, you're right about NASA and the government refusing to tell us anything about it, especially if it was true. they would have nothing to gain: it would create a kind of negative utopia, introducing the world into a state of bedlam. but NASA was originally created by Nazi scientists (Project Paper Clip), so I'm not really expecting much from their end of it.

Sure, these predictions have been mangled before (Y2K), but at least the government acknowledged it back then as a possible threat; this time they are just keeping quiet about it. there are certain safe grounds for certain people if this thing were to transpire (Mount Weather, amongst others), and there's simply not enough room in those safe houses to secure everyone.

An end of an era it will be, as we will be entering the house of Aquarius (The man with a water pitcher, hinting at a possible deluge?) some people think that will be a time of spiritual enlightenment with only the informed and enlightened people reaching the next stage. no one knows if that's true, but it has been thoroughly talked about and researched by people like Michael Tsarion, David Icke, Jordan Maxwell, and Alex Collier.

It'll be the end of all those dumb 2012 predictions.

I wanna say that it's BS, but there's way too many things that are coincidental.

We line up with the galactic equator. the Mayans predicted it. (Which is significant because the mayans were likely influenced by ETs). Nasa has already talked about increasing sunspot activity. It's the winter solstice (if the earth was going to end in some natural disaster end of days thing, don't you think it would happen on a solstice or equinox?). European nations have set up "seed banks" in the sides of mountains.

Congress is spending money like it's never going to have to pay for anything…because they know that they will never have to pay for anything?
