What does pilates have that yoga doesn't?
And in what ways are they similar?
Yoga is stretching, flexibility, centering, breathing…
Pilates is core strengthening. doing a lot with stomach muscles.
I am very good at yoga, very flexible, but I had a very hard time with Pilates. It made me realize how out of shape I really am.
they both incorporate stretching, yoga is more relaxation and stretching and learning how to properly breath. pilates combines yoga with muscle toning exercises, it's more intense.
From what I know, yoga is more for like spirtual reasons, getting more in touch with your body, whereas pilates is more for actual excerise. It works your core really well.
well… yoga is more relaxation, and stretching, while Pilate's is much more of a muscle building workout! Try both and see which you like better! they are both super good for you!!!!!
Yogas use karate and pirates use swords.
One is for sex, the other is for drugs.
