Is it definite that Jayson Werth will be dealt and the Phillies will aquire Oswalt or Haren?

Nope, not a done deal yet. Ruben Amaro is working on a 'big deal' that would possibly send Jayson Werth to the Rays, and Roy Oswalt to the Phillies in a 3 trade deal, or they could trade Werth separately. He's definitely getting Haren or Oswalt, especially now that Moyer is on his way to the DL.

It's not definite, but highly likely. After Moyer's injury, they need another starter and make room for Dominic Brown. They will probably take Haren because of Oswalt's absurd contract and because he wants to be in the Midwest and South.

With both the Astros and the D-Backs obviously rebuilding, trading their no.1 trade chip for a rental player makes absolutely no sense at all.

Nothing is official however at this rate they will likely get Haren, I mean Oswalt may fail his Physical I hope not but I don't think the Phillies will take their chances here.
