To me root beer and Dr. Pepper are two totally different drinks with distinctive flavor. Does everyone else agree and why do waiters suggest rootbeer to a patron if they don't sell Dr. Pepper? It doesn't make sense to me.
I also think they are totally different. I cant think of anything they have in common except that they are both a dark, carbonated soda. lol
They are a million times different. I wasn't aware that people thought they were the same. I can't imagine why they would think that… my cousin can't smell. She was born that way. to her, most things taste pretty much the same… so I would understand if she couldn't tell the difference between the two… but not many people have that particular excuse.

Dr. Pepper and root beer are not even close. Root beer has a strong flavor and I don't really care for it. now on the other hand I love some Dr. Pepper. If a waiter told me that, he would get a quick reality check. they are not the same. Dr. Pepper is much, much better. Love the Doc.
