Secretary of State, Natalie Tennant, stopped in the Mid-Ohio Valley to help one Wood County poll place meet ADA standards.
Tennant, along with other elected officials, presented the Wood County Commission and Clerk with nearly $10,000 for upgrades at the Rosemar United Methodist Church, also known as precinct 40A.
The money was used to replace door handles and much more.
“They now have a paved parking lot, which sounds simple, but what that does is for folks who have difficulty walking or may even need a wheelchair, it makes it easier to roll a wheelchair and certainly walk, if you’re not walking on gravel and, instead, walking on a paved area,” says Secretary of State, Natalie Tennant.
Madame Secretary also talked about early voting across the state and says things have been running smoothly.
She also says many people have taken advantage of the “no excuse, in person, early voting”.
