How much does it cost to adopt a kitten from petco?

i'm getting a kitten from a adoption place called tails and whiskers and they sell them at petco! how much do kittens cost? please help! thnks!

Well, prices vary from place to place and it depends if they have been vaccinated and fixed. it also depends on their breed. If it is a common mixed at or tabby at a pet store that has not been fixed it can be about $15 to $20. If it is something that's exotic or pure bred like a blue point siamese then it can run you in the hundreds. Though, I think you're talking about a common mixed breed. If it has been fixed and vaccinated then it can be about $35 to $50. I know that some places will charge like $55, that's how much we paid when we saved a cat from Humane Society. she came fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. we also had to sign a contract stating that we had a family vet for her and had to fill in the vet's information as well as a contract stating that it was alright with us to have them come by to check on her if they do because she was definitely a rescue kitty.

So, aside from my fun story, it will cost anywhere from $15 to $55, it's a big price gap. IF you do decide on getting one I would actually suggest you save a few hundred in order to buy them things for the house like a scratching post and food bowls if you want to give them different bowls than yourself. this will also take some stress off of paying for vet visits for a bit.

As well, remember that if you get a kitten, you are now it's mother and if it is younger than 12 wks old you should act as it's mother. Lots of love and affection as well as care and be sure to groom regularly to prevent any psychological problems as it gets older.

Too Much! go to your local humane society instead! at petco they don't get put to sleep if they don't get adopted at the humane society they do. Besides you'll save alot of money if you go to the humane society. The adoption there should be less then $60. The adoption at petco is more then a $100 if I am remembering right.
