Indonesian Ambassador for the United States Dino Patti Djalal provides press information related to the agenda of the United States President Barack Obama in Indonesia on 9-10 November 2010 in Jakarta.
Obama is scheduled to arrive at the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, on Tuesday (09/11/2010) afternoon.
Obama and his entourage later visited the Presidential Palace and was received directly by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. the both presidents will conduct bilateral small and large meetings.at the small bilateral meeting, each head of state will speak in the presence of three companion and a registrar. this bilateral meeting lasted about 30 minutes.
“After that there is a larger meeting. the President was accompanied by several ministers. at this meeting discussed bilateral cooperation more broadly,” said Dino, who is also a former spokesman for President of the International Relations Division, told to the reporters at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday ( 08/11/2010).
After that, President Yudhoyono and Obama will hold a joint news conference at the park that lies between the Istana Negara and the Istana Merdeka, Jakarta. Today, the Palace has been built a big stage in order to accommodate palace reporters and U.S. journalists who participated in Obama’s visit.
After the news conference, Obama will back to the hotel. the event dinner took place at 20:30 o’clock.
The next day, Wednesday (10/11/2010), Obama is scheduled to visit the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta.
From the Istiqlal, Obama will visit Taman Makam Pahlawan Kalibata. this is a routine agenda of every head of state to visit Indonesia.
After that, Obama visits University of Indonesia, Depok, to say public lectures. the public lecture will take place in the Hall, Kampus UI, Depok.
“Then, in the afternoon, President Barack Obama will travel to Seoul,” said Dino.
