I think Nick is a moron for leaving Jessica for vannessa, Jessica is beautiful and damn fine.

Nick didn't leave Jessica. Jessica left him. She's a selfish, self-centered you know what. Nick is desperate and sad and all alone. Vanessa probably treats him better than he's ever been treated in his life, and that counts for more than the fake beauty and unfaithfulness that Jessica showed him.
